Doctor and Art Collector Joy Simmons opens up her LA home to THE CUT

Dr. Joy Simmons set out in 1992 to design an art-filled home in L.A. in which to raise her two young daughters. She was a practicing radiologist and an art collector, who today has amassed one of the most important collections of African American art in the country.
